GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 1, 2008) — Michelin North America Inc. said it will boost its tire prices by 8-15 percent.
Prices for Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal and private- and associate-brand passenger and light truck tires sold in the U.S. will jump 12 percent on Sept. 1, the company said. Michelin and BFGoodrich replacement commercial truck tire prices will climb as much as 8 percent on that date, as will Michelin Retread Technologies retreads.
Motorcycle, scooter and bicycle tire and tube prices will surge up to 15 percent on Michelin-brand products sold in Canada, Mexico and the U.S., also on Sept. 1.
All two-wheel products delivered after Aug. 31will be invoiced at the new price, the tire maker said.
