NAPLES, Fla. (June 24, 2008) — Lehigh Technologies Inc., manufacturer of fine-mesh engineered rubber powders from recycled tires, said it has raised $34.5 million in financing to expand production and build a second manufacturing plant.
The funds came from two investment firms, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Index Ventures, Lehigh said.
Chief Financial Officer Patrick George said the company isn't ready to announce the location of its second plant, but will do so within the next two quarters.
Lehigh has its headquarters in Naples and its manufacturing facility in Tucker, Ga.
