AKRON (June 11, 2008) — Top executives from tire companies in the U.S., India and China will give keynote addresses at two tire industry meetings in Akron the week of Sept. 15—the Tire Society meeting and the International Tire Exhibition & Conference.
Mark Emkes, chairman and CEO of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc., will keynote the Tire Society annual meeting on Sept. 16, addressing the tire industry in the 21st century. That meeting runs Sept. 15-16.
Neeraj R.S. Kanwar, vice chairman, joint managing director and chief operating officer for India's Apollo Tyres Ltd., will appear Sept. 17 at ITEC, speaking on “Invent. Innovate. Implement.”
Yue Chung Chen, general manager of Double Coin Holdings Co. Ltd., based in China, will speak Sept. 18 at ITEC on current engineering trends of products, including references to tires, tire plant technology and tire manufacturing equipment.
