AKRON (June 5, 2008) — Goodyear will raise prices on its commercial tires up to 9 percent, effective July 1.
Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brands in North America will be affected by the increase, the Akron-based tire maker said.
The company also increased prices June 1 by 9 percent on commercial retread rubber prices and 12 percent on over-the-road tread rubber products.
Goodyear attributed the increases to rising raw material, energy and transportation costs. The company said it last raised commercial tire prices up to 7 percent on April 1.
