FORT WAYNE, IND. (May 30, 2008) — Calico Precision Molding L.L.C. said it will invest more than $330,000 in injection molding upgrades and add 20 employees through the next year.
The Fort Wayne-based molder will spend $169,000 on its building and another $163,000 on manufacturing, research and development, logistics and information technology equipment, the company said.
It marks the second expansion for Calico in three years. In 2005, the company spent $500,000 to build a 10,000-sq.-ft. addition at its plant. The company has already started the expansion, and expects to have the work finished by the end of June.
Calico, which sells to the auto, aerospace and military markets, has 12 presses ranging in size from 27 to 500 tons and another three rubber injection presses.
