TUCKER, Ga. (May 23, 2008) — Lehigh Technologies Inc. said it is adding 60,000 square feet of production space to its 83,000-sq.-ft. factory in Tucker that produces engineered rubber powders from recycled tires.
Lehigh didn't say when the expansion will be finished or how much it will add to capacity. The Tucker plant has a current processing capacity of more than 6 million scrap tires annually.
The company still is in negotiations for its long-announced plans to build a second production facility, a Lehigh spokeswoman said.
