RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (May 8, 2008) — Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. has set a groundbreaking May 12 for its $225 million passenger and light truck tire plant in Macon, Ga.
Executives from the Rancho Cucamonga-based tire maker's parent company, South Korea's Kumho Tire Co. Inc., along with local and state officials are expected to be present, a spokeswoman said.
The plant is Kumho's first in the U.S. The factory should come on stream at year-end 2009 and employ 400.
