RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (April 7, 2008) -– Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex has is boosting prices of nitrile latex used in the glove production by 4 cents per dry pound worldwide on May 1.
A week earlier Dave Gartshore, global vice president for sales for Dow Reichhold, warned that price increases were coming because of problems with the global hydrocarbon market.
“The escalation in costs, the frequency of cost increases and the impact on monomers and other hydrocarbon raw materials have continued at a rapid pace, and we expect these trends to continue into the foreseeable future,” he said.
