ANSONIA, Conn. (March 10, 2008) — Rubber and plastics processing equipment maker Farrel Corp. has upgraded the control system on its TechnoLab-brand line of laboratory mixers.
The system provides enhanced features for data logging and recipe control, promoting operator accuracy and easy formulation changes, the Ansonia-based company said. A fully integrated network-ready color touch screen with improved graphic interface is now standard, the firm said.
Farrel's TechnoLab line-which includes the BR1600 Banbury and K0 and K1 Intermix mixers-comprises research and development, process and production support tools designed to achieve exacting, repeatable processing performance critical to laboratory environments, the company said.
For applications requiring adherence to ASTM International standards, the BR1600 Banbury follows the rubber mixing specifications of the ASTM D 3182 standard, Farrel said.
In addition to the mixers, the TechnoLab line also includes Farrel's Polymill laboratory-size two-roll mills.
