MOSCOW (Feb. 21, 2008) — Amtel-Vredestein N.V. has resumed manufacturing at its Amtel-Povolzhye tire complex Feb. 15, following a four-day shutdown caused by the suspension of raw material delivery.
The company didn't say why the supply was disrupted. The firm resumed production after it signed a supply agreement with Sibur-Russian Tyres, and used a $25 million bank credit line.
Amtel-Vredestein said the production curtailment didn't impact on its ability to meet supply agreements and customer demand. During the shutdown the firm completed planned equipment maintenance and repairs.
