NEWMARKET, Ontario (Feb. 19, 2008) — AirBoss of America Corp.'s Defense Division has received military orders for its chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protective wear totaling about $15 million.
The company will provide 360,000 pairs of over boots and 213,000 pairs of gloves, AirBoss said. All are slated for delivery in 2008.
AirBoss-Defense's orders represent the largest received by the division and are part of a five-year, variable quantity supply contract signed with Canadian Commercial Corp. and the U.S. Department of Defense.
The sales value of the orders boost AirBoss´ current military and first response January 2008 sales and backlog as of Feb. 19 to about $27 million, an amount almost equal to total sales for the operation in 2007.
