NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 6, 2008) — Bridgestone entered a deal to be the official tire of the Golf Channel network.
Under the agreement, BFS will have exclusivity on the network and will also be the presenting sponsor of the "Live from the Masters" tournament.
"Bridgestone's passion for excellence is right in line with our passion for the game of golf and motivation to customize platforms that will connect our partners to their best customers," said Gene Pizzolato, executive vice president of sales, marketing and business development for the Golf Channel.
According to Phil Pacsi, vice president of North American consumer tire marketing for BFS, the agreement also includes hundreds of billboards during the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, Nationwide Tour and Live from the Masters tournaments that will feature the slogan, "Get the most out of your game."
Golf Channel said it reaches 90 million households worldwide.
Bridgestone already is the official tire of the PGA Tour, which features more than 40 tournaments this year.
