LEVERKUSEN, Germany (Jan. 16, 2008) — Bayer MaterialScience said it is increasing prices in Asia, the Middle East and Africa for polyisocyanate on Feb. 1.
The price hikes of 60 cents per kilogram cover aliphatic derivates of hexamethylene diisocyanate, sold as Desmodur N and Desmodur Blocked. The company blamed the rising cost of materials and energy, as well as higher production expenses, for the price hike.
All current contractual obligations in the regions will be honored, Bayer MaterialScience said.
