OSAKA, Japan — Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd. is changing the structure of its U.S. operations to enhance efficiency and improve strategic decision-making capabilities.
The changes, which were effective Jan. 1, are reflected in new names for Toyo´s subsidiaries in the U.S., the company said. The changes are:
— Toyo Tire International Inc. (Toyo´s holding company for its U.S. activities) is now Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc.;
— Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp. becomes Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.;
— Nitto Tire North America Inc. becomes Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc.; and
— Toyo Tire North America Inc. becomes Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc.
Toyo describes Toyo Tire Holdings as a direct subsidiary and the other three entities as second-tier subsidiaries under the holding company. The units´ headquarters remain the same: Toyo Tire Holdings, Toyo Tire U.S.A. and Nitto Tire U.S.A. in Cypress, Calif., and Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing in White, Ga.
