Tire Rolling Resistance for Light Vehicles I: Selection of Tires and Tests for Rating System Development

The selection of tires to represent the range of rolling resistance values that may be encountered and the test methods that will be used to measure RR values will be described. SAE and ISO as well as the ASTM F2493-06 standard reference will also be discussed. A TRC/DOT-NHTSA/ARDL panel discussion will follow this group of papers.
