AKRON (Dec. 19, 2007) — Goodyear has named Jean-Claude Kihn senior vice president and chief technical officer, succeeding Joseph M. Gingo, who retired from that position to become CEO of A. Schulman Inc.
The company also announced four other executive changes.
Kihn, 48, has been general director of Goodyear's Technical Center in Akron since 2005. He has been with the company since 1988, when he started as a compounder at Goodyear's technical center in Luxembourg, working with passenger tires.
Goodyear also announced the promotions of William M. Hopkins to vice president of advanced concepts; Joseph Zekoski to vice president of global product development and technical center operations; Surendra Chawla to senior director of external science and technology programs; and Marc Junio to general director of the Goodyear Technical Center in Akron, replacing Kihn.
