LEVERKUSEN, Germany (Dec. 18, 2007) — Bayer MaterialScience L.L.C.'s polyurethane systems for use in the automotive sector will rise by 22 cents per kilogram in Europe, the Middle East and Africa 22 cents Jan. 1.
Also, prices for all Bayfill systems for use in instrument panels will go up by 56 cents per kilogram, the firm said. The company cited rising material costs and the need for special technical support as the cause of the increases.
Bayer MaterialScience said contractual obligations will not be affected.
