GREENVILLE, S.C.-Michelin North America Inc. has accepted a settlement in an intellectual property lawsuit it filed against China Manufacturers Alliance L.L.C.
The U.S. settlement follows a resolution between Michelin and Shanghai Tyre & Rubber Co. Ltd., which recently changed its name to Double Coin Holdings Ltd., on "multiple intellectual property litigations in various countries," Michelin said.
As part of the settlement, Shanghai Tyre and its affiliates-which include CMA, the company´s wholly owned U.S. sales and marketing unit-agreed to change the tread patterns on certain Double Coin and Dyna Trac brand tires. The firms also removed versions of Michelin-copyrighted content from their Web sites, Michelin said.
Terms of the financial settlement weren´t disclosed.
