AKRON (Nov. 30, 2007) — Goodyear is replacing 400,000 Kelly, associate and private brand label tires because of a tread separation problem. The company—calling the action a "customer satisfaction campaign," instead of a recall because no defect was found in the tires being replaced—said a "small number" of injuries and one death have occurred in accidents related to the tires. The tires are size P215/70R14, made between 2003 and 2006 and sold in the U.S. and Canada.
