CLEVELAND (Nov. 9, 2007) — Eaton Corp. has purchased Arrow Hose & Tubing Inc. of Guelph, Ontario, for an undisclosed price.
Arrow is a maker of specialty hose and tubing for the industrial, food and beverage and agricultural markets. Its products are made from thermoplastics, urethanes and some elastomers.
The firm employs a total of 60 at plants in Guelph and in Fort Worth, Texas, and posted sales of $12 million in 2006.
The acquisition increases Eaton's offering to the food and beverage industry and strengthens its presence in the agriculture markets, Senior Vice President Craig Arnold said. Arnold also serves as president of Eaton's fluid power group.
An Eaton spokeswoman said no immediate changes are planned for the Arrow plants.
Eaton posted sales of $12.4 billion in 2006, an increase of almost 12 percent from the previous year. The firm employs 63,000 globally.
