PHILADELPHIA (October 24, 2007) — Rohm and Haas's Packaging and Building Materials business plans to increase prices for all adhesives and sealant industry products up to 10 percent, effective Nov. 1.
The increase includes all acrylic, vinyl acrylic, vinyl acetate emulsions, polyurethane, polyester, PVDC and complimentary technologies sold to the pressure sensitive, construction, flexible packaging, transportation, industrial and adhesives industries in North America.
The firm cited tightening supply of feedstocks, rapidly rising feedstock costs and continued increases in energy costs and freight costs as the reason for the price hikes.
