NEW MARTINSVILLE, W.Va. (Oct. 12, 2007) — Bayer MaterialScience L.L.C. said its methylene diphenyl diisocyanate plant in New Martinsville has been transformed into a state-of-the-art specialty chemicals facility and business park.
The facility won't produce MDI, but will continue to be a distribution center for MDI and toluene diisocyanate and hydrochloric acid, the company said. It was shut down in September while the changeover was made.
Bayer MaterialScience consolidated all its MDI and TDI production for the NAFTA region at its operation in Baytown, Texas.
