Lanxess increases chloroprene rubber prices
LEVERKUSEN, Germany-Lanxess A.G.'s Technical Rubber Products business unit has increased prices of its chloroprene rubber by an average of about 42 cents per kilogram, the company said.
The hike, effective Oct. 1, was made because of higher energy costs. The CR grade is marketed under the proprietary name Baypren, the company said.
Lanxess' technical rubber products are used in automotive, mechanical engineering, construction, electrical, footwear and other markets.
