ROSEMOUNT, Ill. (Sept. 20) — Private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital has purchased the North American operations of Metzeler Automotive Profile Systems from CVC Capital Partners.
The sale, for an undisclosed amount, follows the acquisition in June of the Metzeler Automotive operations in four European nations and China by Cooper-Standard Automotive. Later that month a management group bought a single Metzeler plant in France.
Based in Detroit with facilities in the U.S. Canada and Mexico, Metzeler designs and makes sealing systems for doors, windows, trunks, lift gates, sunroofs and hoods.
Wynnchurch Capital is based in Rosemount, a Chicago suburb, and is a middle-market private equity investment firm. Financing for the deal was provided by Bank of America.
