AKRON (Sept. 11) — Goodyear has named Mark Purtilar chief procurement officer, replacing Gary Miller, who is retiring.
The change takes effect Sept. 17, the Akron-based tire maker said. Miller has worked for Goodyear for 40 years.
In the post, Purtilar will oversee the firm´s global procurement strategy and be responsible for about $10 billion in annual purchases. He most recently served as vice president of global procurement for commercial vehicle systems for ArvinMeritor Automotive Inc.
