CLEVELAND (Sept. 10) — Eaton Corp. will realign its financial reporting structure to increase the business segments reported from four to six, effective Jan. 1.
The change will be reflected in Eaton´s first-quarter report for 2008.
Under the changes, the Electrical Group will have two business segments: Power Distribution and Power Quality.
The Fluid Power Group will have two business segments: Aerospace and Hydraulics, which will include the results of the Filtration unit.
The Truck and Automotive groups will continue as individual business segments.
Chairman and CEO Alexander M. Cutler said the expanded reporting will allow investors and the public to understand in greater detail the performance of the firm´s businesses and will spotlight its broad geographic and industry balance.
