VIENNA, Austria (Aug. 31) — Semperit A.G. reported higher earnings and sales for the first half of 2007, on improved performances by all its operating units.
Sales jumped 6.9 percent to about $414 million, while operating profit rose by 18.1 percent, to $40.4 million, the company said. Earnings before taxes climbed 20.1 percent in the same period to $42.7 million.
Semperit said all its divisions — medical, hose, rubber goods and conveyor belting — recorded better sales and earnings in the first half than the corresponding period a year earlier.
