FINDLAY, Ohio (Aug. 27) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has signed an exclusive entitlement sponsorship with ABC for college football halftime shows.
The Cooper Tire Halftime Show will run on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 TV and online at www.espn.com starting in September. The show will feature scores, game previews and expert analysis while Cooper´s logo is prominently displayed.
The second half of football games also will feature the "Cooper Tire Defensive Stop of the Game."
"We are excited about out sponsorship with ABC and the Cooper Tire Halftime Show as it brings the Cooper Tire brand in front of what has become a Saturday ritual for sports fans everywhere," said Jim Keller, vice president of marketing for the Findlay-based tire maker.
This fall Cooper also plans to air commercials under its "Don´t Give Up a Thing" tagline for its CS4 Touring tire, the Cooper Zeon line and the Discoverer lineup. The commercials will launch Sept. 1 on ABC and ESPN.
