AKRON (Aug. 16) — Veyance Technologies Inc., the former Goodyear Engineered Products division, plans to move to a 50,000-sq.-ft. headquarters facility being built in the Akron suburb of Fairlawn, Ohio.
The four-story building, which sits in a four-acre office complex, eventually will house as many as 250 employees of the business, which Goodyear sold to the Carlyle Group for $1.48 billion on Aug. 1. The company´s current headquarters and product development operations are in four different locations in Akron and Green, Ohio.
Tim Toppen, CEO and president of Veyance, said bringing everyone together in one location will result in a number of administrative efficiencies.
