NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 23, 2007) — Bridgestone Firestone Latin American Tire Operations has named Oscar Rodriguez and Alfredo A. Oran to president posts at two divisions.
Rodriguez, currently president of Bridgestone Firestone Venezolana C.A., will become president of Bridgestone Firestone de Costa Rica S.A. on Aug. 1. He succeeds Humberto Gomez, who was appointed president of Bridgestone Firestone do Brasil Industria e Comercio Ltda. earlier this year.
At the same time, Oran will take Rodriguez´s position as president of Bridgestone Firestone Venezolana.
Rodriguez joined the Venezuelan unit in 1986 as a quality inspector and an hourly paid worker in the company´s plant and has held positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, sales and marketing.
Before his assignment as president in December 2004, Rodriguez served as production supervisor; process engineer; division manager, tire building and curing; domestic sales manager; sales and marketing director; vice president, sales and marketing; and vice president, manufacturing operations.
Oran, a 26-year veteran of manufacturing, purchasing and engineering operations, has experience as general manager of Dana Corp.-Venezuela; and as materials management manager for General Motors Venezuela.
