CHICAGO (July 13) — The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. has scheduled its 4th Annual Tire Recycling Business Summit for Sept. 16-18 in Chicago.
The meeting will begin with a meeting and dinner of ISRI's Scrap Tire Processors Chapter Sept. 16, followed by a symposium Sept. 17-18 designed specifically to help professional processors, their customers and suppliers, and government officials who deal with scrap tires.
Topics include sorting, classifying and exporting scrap tires; innovative approaches to handling tire fiber; state scrap tire programs; how plant safety translates to lower insurance costs; and proper safety and maintenance techniques for tire processing equipment.
The symposium also will feature tabletop exhibits on tire recycling. Until Aug. 25, the registration fee is $245 for ISRI members, $270 for non-members.
