WALDKRAIBURG, Germany (July 12) — Kraiburg TPE GmbH & Co. K.G. has increased its production capacity for thermoplastic elastomer compounds in the U.S.
The firm said it began operating on June 1 new equipment at its Duluth, Ga., plant that increases by 30 percent the factory's capacity to produce hydrogenated styrene block copolymers. The compounds are used by processors to make products for the automotive, consumer and industrial goods markets.
Kraiburg opened the Duluth plant in 2002. It said employment at the site has grown to 50 from 15 since then because of increases in production.
