Adrian, Mich. (July 9) — Wacker Chemical Corp. named Ingo Kovar president and CEO and announced Levi J. Cottington IV would take his place as vice president, business unit elastomers.
Kovar succeeds Dirk Funke, whose new duties will be announced later, according to the firm´s executive board.
The executive changes are effective Aug. 1.
Kovar will oversee international business development for Wacker Silicones and Wacker fine Chemicals businesses, and the firm´s Silmix and Kelmar business divisions. His primary responsibilities include the overall management of the company with a focus on continued business growth and new market entry in the Americas and NAFTA region.
Cottington will lead the NAFTA-region business, its research and development, supply chain management, and sales and marketing functions.
