KENT, Wash. (May 28, 2007) — Only four years ago, Cascade Gasket & Manufacturing Co. Inc. was on the brink of collapse. Its top customer, aircraft giant Boeing Co. had deselected the Kent, Wash.-based rubber components manufacturer as a supplier, citing Cascade´s lack of AS9100 certification-a standard specific to the aerospace industry-and its small size.
