SUWANEE, Ga. (April 12) — Maxxis International will supply tires to two 2008 General Motors Corp. vehicles in Thailand, the tire company said.
Tires from Maxxis´ Rayong, Thailand, plant will be original equipment on the Captiva sport-utility vehicle and the Optra passenger car. Maxxis will supply tires for the Captiva in sizes 21570R16 MA-707 and 235/60R17 MA-707 with an optional 255/55R18 MA-S2.
Tires for the Optra will be in size 195/55R15 MA-P1.
Maxxis´ plant in Thailand produces tires for both the domestic and export markets. The plant produces about 3.6 million units per year.
