AKRON (April 9) — Goodyear will raise prices on its commercial tires up to 5 percent, effective May 1.
The increase, which applies to Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly brands, is needed because of rising raw material, energy and transportation costs, the tire maker said.
Goodyear also raised prices on its tread rubber for off-the-road tires up to 5 percent, effective April 2.
The Akron-based firm last raised commercial tire prices up to 4 percent last August.
