TOKYO (March 9) — ExxonMobil Chemical has opened a new polymers automotive applications center in Kawasaki, Japan. The center will support ExxonMobil's polymers portfolio, including specialty elastomers such as Santoprene-brand thermoplastics vulcanizate, polypropylene compounds and other specialty polymers.
It is located at the site of ExxonMobil affiliate Tonen Kagaku K.K. The center consists of several testing laboratories and processing equipment. The company said it will be able to assist customers in all aspects of material selection, mold design, processing and testing.
The investment for the new center was not disclosed.
