ROGERS, Conn. (Feb. 22) — Rogers Corp.'s 2006 net income more than tripled from 2005, totaling $46.5 million, as sales rose 28 percent to a record $454.6 million.
Net profits for the fourth quarter jumped 23.6 percent to $12.7 million, with sales growing 25 percent to $122.7 million.
Revenues for its high performance foams unit for the quarter were $25.5 million, up 12 percent over 2005. Rogers said the company's sales of high performance foams into portable communications, consumer products and transportation applications led to the increase.
Fourth-quarter sales in its Other Polymer Products segment increased 12 percent to $11.6 million.
President and CEO Robert D. Wachob said continued growth in the markets it serves will provide sustained long-term revenue increases for Rogers in coming years.
