CLERMONT-FERRAND, France (Feb. 15) — Michel Rollier, Michelin managing general partner, will ask shareholders at the company's 2007 annual meeting to OK the appointment of two additional managing partners.
Rollier—the sole managing partner since Edouard Michelin died last May—is proposing Didier Miraton, head of research and industrial performance, and Jean-Dominique Senard, head of finance, for the positions. Both already are part of group´s executive board.
At the meeting, scheduled for May 11, shareholders will be asked to amend the firm's corporate governance rules to allow for a new category of managing partner. Rollier will continue as the principal executive, Michelin said.
Miraton has been with Michelin since 1982, primarily in research and innovation roles. Senard joined Michelin two years ago after gaining more than 25 years of management experience at three other major French industrial firms.
