KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Feb. 5) — Goodyear will be the exclusive tire supplier to NASCAR's top three racing series for the next five years through 2012.
Chairman and CEO Robert Keegan and Mike Helton, president of NASCAR, signed the supply agreement Feb. 3 during Goodyear's annual dealer meeting in Kissimmee.
Goodyear supplies tires to the Nextel Cup Series, the NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The Akron-based tire maker has supplied the series for more than 50 years.
"For us, we love to be associated with that brand," Keegan told dealers.
Helton also lauded the relationship. "(Goodyear´s) not just a supplier, it's a critical supplier," he said.
