DETROIT (Jan. 31) — Auto supplier TI Automotive Ltd. said today that it has been awarded contracts totaling $220 million from General Motors, DaimlerChrysler AG and Valeo SA.
The deals are for air-conditioning tube and hose assemblies and begin in mid-2007.
The contracts are a mix of new and replacement business, said Rich Kolpasky, president of TI Automotive´s Fluid Carrying Systems division.
TI Automotive, which employs 20,000 people at 130 locations worldwide, supplies fluid storage, transfer and delivery systems, including brake, fuel and air-conditioning applications.
Last July, the company announced it had secured $118 million in contracts for brake and fuel-line components and airbag tubes.
