RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Jan. 17) — Kumho Tire Co. Inc. named two executives to posts overseeing North American and U.S. operations.
B.K. Kim was named CEO and president of Kumho Tire North America and Don Hun Ham has been named president of Rancho Cucamonga-based Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc.
In his newly created position, Kim will oversee Kumho´s North American operations, including Kumho Tire U.S.A. and Kumho Tire Canada Inc., from the Rancho Cucamonga headquarters.
Kim joined Kumho Tire Co. Inc. in 1974 in the overseas sales division.
Ham succeeds Kyu Cho, who retired from Kumho in December after 33 years with the company. Ham joined Kumho in 1978 and served a variety of positions before joining another company in 2000. He returned to Kumho in 2006.
Kim addressed dealers during the firm´s recent annual meeting in Cancun, Mexico, outlining the firm´s goal to be the fifth largest tire maker globally by 2015.
