BANGKOK (Dec. 12) — The International Rubber Study Group has scheduled two of its major annual events for Bangkok on May 14-18. The IRSG World Rubber Summit will take place at the Imperial Queen's Park Hotel May 14-15, followed by the 43rd Assembly of Nations May 16-18.
The theme of the World Rubber Summit will be, "Global Supply and Demand Challenges: What to Aim For, and How to Meet Them." It will include sessions on natural rubber planting and the outlook for production; synthetic rubber production and capacity development; end-use developments and perspectives for various types of rubber; global supply and demand for NR and SR; and NR prices and futures markets.
The Assembly of Nations will be highlighted by a May 18 field trip, and include meetings of the IRSG Economic and Statistical Committees. More information on the Bangkok events will appear shortly at www.rubberstudy.com.
