ST. PAUL, Minn. (Dec. 8, 2006) — Al Stroucken, chairman, president and CEO of H.B. Fuller Co., resigned, effective Dec. 1. Succeeding Stroucken as president and CEO will be Michele Volpi, group president and general manager of the organization´s Global Adhesives business group.
Volpi also will join the H.B. Fuller board of directors. Lee Mitau, executive vice president and general counsel, U.S. Bancorp, and independent director of H.B. Fuller since 1996, was elected non-executive chairman of the board.
According to the company, Stroucken is leaving to pursue an opportunity with a Fortune 500 company.
