AKRON (Nov. 30) — The ACS Rubber Division is offering three $5,000 scholarships for undergraduates, and is seeking papers to be presented at an upcoming meeting.
The scholarships are for students entering their junior or senior years for the fall 2007 through spring 2008 academic year. The applicants must be majoring in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, polymer science or other technical fields related to the rubber industry, the division said.
The call for papers is for the organization´s Oct. 16-18, 2007, meeting in Cleveland.
