LONDON (Nov. 17) — The Alliance for the Polyurethanes Industry is teaming up with Crain Communications Ltd./Industrial Promotions International to bring the UTECH polyurethanes industry trade show and conference to the U.S. next year.
UTECH North America Exhibition and Conference will take place Sept. 24-26, 2007, in Orlando, Fla. The organizers are billing it as the PU industry's largest-ever gathering in the NAFTA region.
Crain — publisher of "Urethanes Technology" magazine — and Goor, Netherlands-based IPI, which together have organized UTECH events in Europe and Asia and 1986, will handle organizing and promoting the exhibition, to be held at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando.
The API, which has organized a PU conference and trade fair for more than 40 years, will organize the parallel conference. The API is part of the American Chemistry Council and its members include U.S. producers or distributors of chemicals and equipment used to make polyurethane, and polyurethane product manufacturers.
The API will accept paper submissions for the conference until March 1, 2007, and poster submissions through May 1.
