NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 28) — Bridgestone/Firestone said it will increase prices by as much as 4 percent for a variety of tires in North America.
The company blamed the high price of petroleum and natural rubber for the increases.
The firm will raise prices on Bridgestone, Firestone, Fuzion, Dayton, associate and private brand tire lines. The hikes will affect passenger and light truck, truck and bus, and agricultural and off-the-road tires in the replacement, original equipment and export channels.
The phased increases begin Sept. 1.
