AKRON (July 11) — Harry Bader, a 55-year veteran of the latex industry, retired June 30 from Akron Rubber Development Laboratory Inc.
Bader spent 16 years of his career with ARDL, retiring as vice president of latex services. He will continue as a consultant for the firm and will work on current and future latex projects from his home in Delaware over the next year, the company said.
He also will continue to write "The Latex Doctor" column that he has written for "Rubber Asia" magazine since the publication was started in 1992. Additionally, Bader will continue to serve on three ASTM International committees: D11 on rubber, F23 on personal protective clothing and equipment, and E54 on homeland security applications.
Prior to working at ARDL, Bader also worked at International Latex Corp., Seiberling Latex, Ansell Ltd. and Spanel.
