HANNOVER/MUNICH, Germany (June 13) – German rubber machinery makers Bertorff GmbH and Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik have set up a joint subsidiary in Moscow to extend and improve their range of services in Russia and neighboring states.
The subsidiary, known as BKM O.O.O., will focus on services such as assembly, refurbishment, upgrades and repairs, the companies said. The venture will set up its own spare parts stock in the near future.
"Our intention is to offer the best possible service on site to our customers in Russia and the other countries of the CIS," said BKM CEO Dieter Brunner. Hannover-based Berstorff has had a presence in those markets for more than 80 years and has delivered numerous tailor-made individual machines and complete production lines for the plastics and rubber processing industries.
Berstorff established a sales and service office in Moscow in 2001, and a joint office with Munich-based Krauss-Maffei in 2002.
