WAYNE, N.J. (June 9) — GAF Materials Corp. plans to build a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for production of its EverGuard-brand thermoplastic olefin roofing membranes, the company announced.
GAF expects the site to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2007. Located in Gainesville, Texas — about 50 miles north of Dallas — the 185,000-sq.-ft. facility is strategically positioned to provide TPO membrane and accessory products in the company´s strong western and southern markets.
The plant will be the single largest operational production line devoted solely to the production of TPO-based single-ply membrane roofing products in North America, GAF said.
When the new facility comes online, GAF´s Mount Vernon, Ind., TPO factory will focus primarily on servicing the central and northern markets. Over the past five years, the Mount Vernon facility has earned a reputation for exceptional quality and service, GAF said.
